Out of Comfort Zone Connections, Part II - Reaching In

Am I the only one completely jazzed about the internet? Silly question I know. During this last deployment, even with WiFi challenges, I really developed an appreciation for the power of virtual connection. Being gone caused me to create online relationships I may never asked to meet had I been plugging along my normal life. I grabbed opportunities to reach into the net and find others in my tribe and also built relationships with mentors, peers, and mentees through online communication.

Out of Comfort Zone Connections, Part I - Reaching Up

I am dedicating this post and the two to follow in a 3-Part series “Out of Comfort Zone Connections” to all of the wonderful relationships I formed during this deployment. It takes effort to get out of our comfort zone; however, when we go out of our way to connect with others, we can create powerful relationships that would otherwise not exist.  I had the opportunity to build bonds I hope will last; I allowed myself to be vulnerable and the reward was incredible.
